Features and Benefits of Spyderco Para Military 2 Signature Camo Folding Knife

Razor-sharp blade

A solid and versatile blade made from CPM-S30V stainless material, easily, this blade will offer you excellent service for long. Being a pocketknife, this model comes with a standard blade size that is about 3.44inches long and 0.15inches thick. Similar to other models from this brand, the blade features a cleverly crafted Spyderco logo giving it an attractive look. Next, we love the pleasant jimping at the end of the spine, which offers a nice grip on the blade.

What makes the S30V material stand out is its impressive corrosion resistance and stability. The blade feels solid, as you should expect from any other product made for military use. This enables it to handle tough tasks for extended periods. Moreover, the blade has a more refined look and retains a sharp edge for long periods. You will also find it easy to sharpen, saving you both time and energy.

Well-crafted handle

With a well-crafted handle, this pocket knife makes a great pick for everyday use. The handle is well sized to ensure that it is not too large not too small. This makes it ideal for both men and women.

In terms of construction, the handle is made from premium G-10 materials, which is sturdy, lightweight, and tough to withstand corrosion as well as daily wear and tear. For enhanced performance, the handle also integrates stainless steel liners that secure the tang firmly to ensure that the handle doesn’t come loose after strenuous use.

Notably, the handle also features fine curves that offer somehow rough surface. This ensures a non-slip grip, delivering superior control and flexibility. Better still, the handle feels comfortable in hand and provides a decent grip even for people who have sweaty hands.

Easy Deployment and secure Lockup

An ingenious deployment makes it easy to get the blade out. Unlike other models, the deployment is easy. The model has a simple thumb press button that conveniently placed in the lockup area. Since the lockup is a bit tight, you will need to exert slightly more pressure. However, this is a small inconvenience to live with especially when considering that this is a pocket knife. Obviously, you wouldn’t want the sharp blade to get out accidentally especially when you have placed your knife in the pocket.

To deploy the blade, place your finger in the hole, and press the button and the blade is deployed instantly. Notably, even though we have stated that you will need to insert slightly more pressure; this doesn’t mean you have to bite your chin doing so. The mechanism has a nice lubrication for added efficiency.

Speaking of the lock, The Spyderco Para military 2 comes with a compression lock that secures the blade. Well, there are not many knives that come with this type of lock mechanism but we found it extremely favorable. While most people mistake these locks for a liner lock, in practice, it is very different. Unlike the liner lock, this lock works by wedging a liner in between a stop pin and tang. Once you apply force from the edge or spine from the side, the lock compress and the pin holds the blade firmly.

Other notable features

The exquisite performance and features doesn’t stop there. First, It is good to note that the knife is particularly balanced when it comes to its weight. Therefore, unlike the overly lightweight pocketknives, this model feels tremendously firm and stable. Next, we love the trademark thumbhole that oversized and enjoyable to use.

In the same breath, the Spyderco Para Military 2 knife comes with a four positioned clip combined with a large lanyard tube that complements the blade, allowing for various carrying positions. This feature also makes it fully ambidextrous, enabling easy one hand unlocking. Easily, another high-end feature that comes with this model is the cleverly designed clip. The clip multi-positioned design enables to tuck your knife securely. The reversible clip enables you to carry the knife tip down, tip up, tip left or tip right.
